Chati y Chato

Untitled-1

After almost an entire lifetime of manual labor, Chato—a Mexican immigrant and permanent legal resident—is finally able to catch up on one his favorite pastimes: watching movies. He is especially fond of films from a period in Mexico known as “La Epoca de Oro” or the “Golden Age of Mexican Cinema.” His son, Chatito—a filmmaker and Cinema scholar—watches and reviews the films with him as they break down each film, its significance to historical Mexican culture, and its relevance today. All over a couple cups of coffee.
